Finland goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky has warned that “the pressure is all on Italy who didn’t qualify for 2018 World Cup” as they’re about to kick off Euro 2020 qualifier.
Hradecky states that his side have no intention of losing as they didn’t come all the way to succumb for Italy.
Finland are in the same group as Armenia, Bosnia and Liechtenstein as they get ready to battle it out in Udine at 19.45 GMT.
“We have trained well to prepare for this match and didn’t come all the way here just to bow down to Italy,” the Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper said on the official Finnish website as quoted by Football Italia.
“The last year has been positive and this is without doubt the best fixture with which to start the Euro 2020 qualifying campaign.
“The pressure is all on Italy, who didn’t qualify for the 2018 World Cup, and that was an historic blow to their confidence. On the other hand, we are full of enthusiasm.
“We are here to play and bring home important points.”
Fingers are crossed until the end of the match tonight.
