A single goal by Joaquin Correa helped Lazio beat AC Milan in tonights Coppa Italia Semifinal action.

After the first leg of the Coppa Italia Semifinal ended in a 0-0 tied, Lazio had a difficult challenge ahead against AC Milan.

And in tonight’s game, a goal by Joaquin Correa gave Lazio the ticket to the competition’s Final, where they will wait for the winner of the Atalanta-Fiorentina match.

For Lazio’s Senad Lulic, his team deserves to be in the Final.

“It was certainly deserved, as we played as a team, fought and suffered together. We knew sooner or later we’d score with the quality we have up front,” Lulic was quoted by Football Italia.

“It was a struggle, but now we leave the Coppa Italia aside until we reach the Final. This is Lazio if we play like this, then we can fight it out with anyone.”

“Admittedly, there was more motivation tonight than against Chievo last week and we had a different approach,” he added.

“The applause to players and staff is fully deserved, as was the victory.”

Lazio is currently in the eighth position of the Italian Lega Serie A table with 52 points, thanks to 15 victories, seven draws, and eleven defeats.

The team has five matches left in the 2018-2019 season: against Sampdoria, Atalanta, Cagliari, Bologna, and Torino.
