Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has now revealed that he is 95% sure that Nabil Fekir will continue at the club for next season
The France international’s £60m transfer to Liverpool fell through before the start of the World Cup after medical tests caused negotiations between the Reds and Lyon to break down.
But Jurgen Klopp’s side were not the only team to have held a reported interest in Fekir with the likes of Manchester United and even Real Madrid having also been linked over the past few months.
Although, with just two weeks of the summer transfer window remaining, the chances of Fekir leaving the Groupama Stadium appear to be remote.
Something that seems to have also crossed Aulas’ mind.
“We will have to wait until the end of the transfer window,” said the 69-year-old, according to the Daily Express.
“But he will stay, 95%. We’ve seen the love of the fans for him. Lyon is a great city of football.”
Fekir has scored 57 goals in 153 games for Lyon.
