After reaching an agreement with Sampdoria, Lyon are trying to agree personal terms with Joachim Andersen according to Sylvinho.

Lyon coach, Sylivnho has revealed that Joachim Andersen could be the club’s latest signing of the summer once personal terms are agreed.

The young Dane has been linked with a move to the Rhone giants for a long time. Initially, Joachim Andersen was expected to follow former coach Marco Giampaolo to AC Milan. However, it appears that the chance to play Champions League football with Lyon was too good to turn down.

If there is one French club that has done things right in the transfer market this summer it is Lyon. Les Gones sold Ferland Mendy and Tanguy Ndombele to Real Madrid and Tottenham respectively. Those two departures added more money to the war chest. Some of it was utilized to sign the likes of Jean Lucas, Thiago Mendes, Ciprian Tatarusanu, Hertier Deyonge and Youssouf Kone set to be announced soon.

The Ligue 1 giants aren’t finished either. They have been in the hunt for a central defender all summer and see Joachim Andersen as the perfect addition to the squad. At the age of 23, the youngster has tons of potential and room for growth.

According to Foot Mercato, Lyon have already reached a 25 million Euros agreement with the Genoese club for Joachim Andersen. All that remains at the moment is the player agreeing to personal terms.

And Sylvinho has also confirmed the news.

“The arrival of Joachim Andersen is on track. I talked about it with Florian Maurice.”

At present, both parties are close to reaching an agreement with only a few minor details left to be sorted out. Joachim Andersen could be announced by the end of this week which is a great piece of news for Lyon fans.
