Machin wary of Lazio’s comeback threat

Sevilla boss Pablo Machin has urged his side to finish up the game against a dangerous Lazio team on Wednesday night.

Sevilla the record holders in the competition having won it five times secured a 1-0 away win heading into the second leg of their Europa League last-32 tie.

But Machin believes the Italians will pose a threat as they don’t have anything to lose in the game.

“We have to lift our heads,” the Coach said at a Press conference via Football Italia.

“We’ve had worse times. They’re part of football, especially when you’re a team like us with big objectives.

“It’s all in our hands. We have to overturn the situation and tomorrow we’ll be back playing in a historic competition.

“We must believe in ourselves and plan the match from the first moment. Tomorrow is a hugely important match for us. We have to get back to winning.

Machin encouraged his lads to be consistent as he believes in the quality of the players.

‘Happy’ Andreas Christensen does a u-turn on Chelsea future

A now-happy Andreas Christensen has decided to rule out a summer exit from Chelsea and plans to instead focus on his football.

“We’ve had chances, but what’s missing is consistency. We have to do a bit more than we did before to turn them into goals.

“The team is talented, the players have always shown it, so we must keep doing what we’re doing.

“Luis Alberto is an important player for them, but my team worries me more, even if Lazio are a great team. They have nothing to lose.

“Immobile’s a player who knows this stadium. We’ll keep an eye on him, even if I don’t really know his physical level. I hope he doesn’t celebrate his birthday against us.”
