Arthur Melo has the potential to rank among the world’s best players and remains committed to Barcelona, insists Malcom.
The tension between FC Barcelona and Arthur Melo has escalated in the past few weeks.
Arthur, who is set to join Juventus at the end of this season in a swap deal involving Miralem Pjanic, is reportedly unhappy at being left out of the squad towards the end of 2019/20 La Liga season.
He is refusing to participate in his club’s Champions League campaign and is even pushing for his contract to be terminated.
President Jose Maria Bartomeu earlier slammed him for bailing on Barca, labeling his behavior to be ‘unjustifiable and totally incomprehensible.’
A former teammate, however, has no doubts over the Brazilian midfielder’s commitment to the Catalan giants.
“Arthur is my friend and is someone I talk to a lot,” Malcom told, speaking to Radio MARCA.
“In a few years, he’s going to be one of the best players in the world. He’s committed to the club, a hard worker who always wants to be at a high level.”
