The sporting strategy and development director for AC Milan talked today to the press about the team’s new signing.
Lucas Paqueta was presented with AC Milan today, and sporting strategy and development director Paolo Maldini talked to the press about the new signing.
“We’ve brought him to the club because he’s a great player,” he said to the club’s official website.
“He has played in different roles, including as a midfielder and further up the field as a trequartista or behind the striker.”
“His exact position is still yet to be fully defined,” he added.
“He certainly has good technical and physical qualities, and his mentality is great too.”
“He has to adapt to Italian football but has everything you need to do so,” Maldini explained.
“I don’t think where a player comes from is absolutely vital.”
“We know the importance of having a core of Italian players in the team. But the global market provides more players to choose from than the Italian one,” the Italian football legend concluded.
