Manchester City are considering Erling Haaland as a long-term replacement for Sergio Aguero.

Sergio Aguero recently set another Premier League record after receiving his seventh Player of the Month award.

Earlier, Aguero also bettered Arsenal legend Thiery Henry’s record to become the best foreign goalscorer. With 252 goals in 363 games, he is also Man City’s record goalscorer.

Ever since setting foot in England back in 2011, the Argentine has been raising the bar higher and higher for the strikers. And, with 20 goals to his name this season, he continues to be an influential player in the Man City team.

But the 31-year old is entering the twilight of his career. He is also nearing the end of his contract with Man City which is set to expire at the end of next season. As a result, they are eager to sign a new player to take Aguero’s mantle.

According to reports from 90min, Erling Haaland is in Man City’s considerations to replace Aguero. Haaland reportedly has a €70 million release clause on his contract with Borussia Dortmund which City is looking to trigger.
