Nathan Ake’s exit from Bournemouth draws closer as they have reportedly accepted an offer from Manchester City over his transfer.
A standout performer for Bournemouth this season, Nathan Ake has been turning the heads of some of the biggest names in the Premier League.
Ake has been expected to quit the club this summer for quite a while now, but his departure started to seem imminent following the confirmation of Bournemouth’s relegation on Sunday.
Manchester United and Manchester City have both been linked with his signing. The former are looking for a back-up for Harry Maguire while the latter, having struggled at the back this season, are keen on strengthening their defensive options. However, recent developments suggest the blue half of Manchester will be his next destination.
According to BBC, Man City have had their offer of around €45 million (£41m) accepted for the 25-year old center-back. The deal could potentially further rise up by a million. The transfer is expected to be completed in the coming days and it would see Ake become Bournemouth’s record-sale.
The Cherries are also expected to lose the likes of Callum Wilson and David Brooks this summer.
