Kasper Schmeichel is a proven goalkeeper and would make an ideal replacement for David de Gea at Manchester United, according to Mark Bosnich.
Kasper Schmeichel was central to Leicester City finishing with a Europa League spot in the 2019/20 Premier League season.
Meanwhile, David de Gea had an underwhelming season by his own standards. De Gea made costly mistakes throughout the season, most notably in the 3-1 FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea.
There have been talks that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to bring Dean Henderson back from his loan spell at Sheffield United and make him the No.1 at Old Trafford next season.
A former Red Devil believes United can also consider bringing Schmeichel, who is ‘as good as any other goalkeeper’ in English top-flight.
“When he’s playing well, he’s as good as any goalkeeper in the Premier League,” Bosnich told Sky Sports, via Goal.
“He’s won a title with Leicester. He’s been very consistent at the international level for quite some time as well.
“Even if they decide to keep David de Gea, to have someone of the quality of Kasper Schmeichel fighting for a place with De Gea would bring the whole standard up a couple of notches.”
