Luke Shaw insists Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has brought back the smile on the faces of Manchester United players.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer initially replaced Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford back in 2018 on an interim basis. But following Man United’s incredible comeback against PSG, he was appointed on a permanent three-year contract.
The Red Devils struggled to maintain their rhythm in the first half of the season causing Solskjaer to come under heavy scrutiny.
But Bruno Fernandes‘ arrival followed by a string of exciting performances have silenced the Norwegian’s doubters. Man United are now in contention for a Champions League finish this season. Moreover, they also have the FA Cup and the Europa League to look forward to.
And according to fullback Luke Shaw, Solskjaer’s appointment has had a two-fold effect at the club – he has lifted the mood in the dressing room while also helping to bring positive results.
“I think man-management-wise, he’s been unbelievable for the whole squad. He’s brought a smile to everyone’s faces. I think you see that every day,” Shaw said on the club’s official website.
“He’s been brilliant and the lads are all really enjoying it and I think even more so now that we’re getting better results. We’ve got an important second half of the season and Ole’s been great.
“We’re all really enjoying working under him and we need to keep giving him results.”
