Paul Merson believes Nuno Espirito Santo holds a place among the best managers in the world.

Arsenal legend Paul Merson has urged Manchester United to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in favor of Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has failed to steer Manchester United onto the right path this season as they still sit seventh in the Premier League table, six points away from a Champions League spot.

The Red Devils have also shown little signs of improvement ever since the Norwegian’s appointment back in March last year.

And according to Paul Merson, Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo might be the right man for the job. The Arsenal legend also branded Nuno as one the best managers in the world right now.

“I think Wolves have got every chance [of finishing in the top four],” Merson wrote for Sky Sports.

“This manager does not get the credit he deserves. I think he is up there with the best in the business.

“When you talk about Man United looking at managers, I am thinking: ‘How are you not getting this man? This bloke is as good as anybody. I think he is one of the top managers in the world of football, in my opinion.”
