Internazionale are keen on offering the club Mauro Icardi as Antonio Conte looks to speed up things in a bid to sign Romelu Lukaku.
It appears that Mauro Icardi may end up leaving Internazionale by the end of the summer transfer window. The talented Argentine striker has been at odds with the club and its fan base for almost a year and a parting of ways has been mooted.
Inter are already preparing for life without the striker and the club’s new manager, Antonio Conte is not going to settle for anything less than a big name. The former Chelsea manager is a huge fan of Romelu Lukaku who is currently under contract at Manchester United.
The Belgian international hasn’t had the best of seasons with the Red Devils and has already hinted at a long summer ahead for himself. Indeed, Lukaku is a huge admirer of the former Juventus manager and would not be against the idea of playing under him.
Initial reports suggested that the player may already have agreed personal terms with the club. However, Inter might not be able to meet United’s financial demands for such an operation to go through.
Therefore, the Nerazzurri are keen on adding Mauro Icardi as part of the deal in order to save themselves some cost.
While Icardi is one of the most talented players in Europe, his attitude has been brought into question several times. And according to Daily Star, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not sure if it would be a wise move to sign another potentially problematic player.
The club is already frustrated with the shenanigans of Paul Pogba and do not really want to have another headache.
Mauro Icardi is influenced by his wife and agent Wanda Nara and this is something that the club’s manager would want to avoid.
