Roberto Mancini was named the new Italy national team coach and he accepts that the expectations have to be the highest possible for him – and he wants to win the upcoming EURO 2020 for his country.

Italy have been struggling for the recent years as they failed to qualify for the World Cup in Russia this year but Roberto Mancini hopes that he will be able to guide his side to a future success.

The former Manchester City coach spoke about his goals as he said, according to Football Italy:

“I am very proud of what is happening to me. I think for a Coach to lead his national team is the maximum and I am very happy.”

AC Milan female star believes in the growth of women’s football

For Valentina Giacinti, the Italian women's football is growing especially thanks to professional men's clubs taking part in it.

“Unfortunately, in football, there are difficult and negative moments, so we must find a way to bring the Nazionale back where it belongs.”

“Italy have always been one of the best national teams in the world and therefore we hope to have all the components on our side to achieve that.”

“My principle objectives are the same that the Nazionale have always had, which is to put a team on its feet quickly that can play to win the Euros and then the World Cup. There are no other objectives.”
