Jurgen Klopp believes Sadio Mane can land the prestigious award if he keeps up with his current form.

Jurgen Klopp decided to tinker with his starting XI in Liverpool’s last Premier League match against Everton. The frontline saw some new faces with Sadio Mane being the exception. And Mane showed why his manager decided to keep him in the team. The Senegalese was directly involved in three of Liverpool’s five goals with scoring one and setting up two.

Jurgen Klopp believes that Sadio Mane can scoop up the Ballon d’Or if he keeps up with his performance. Mane, who finished fourth in the 2019 Ballon d’Or rankings, was also joined by Van Dijk, Salah, and Alisson in the top ten list.

“The first three in the Ballon d’Or was Messi, Van Dijk, Cristiano and then Sadio. That’s a nice row. Having two players there shows a lot,” Klopp said as per Four Four Two.

“Mo was fifth and Alisson was seventh. We obviously played a good season and they had to respect that.

“Sadio is in incredible shape. Since the first day he came in he has been an incredibly important player.

“For an offensive player when Messi says something like this… Sadio, especially against Barcelona at home, was very impressive, it was like we had three of him on the pitch.

“If he stays healthy he will have an incredible career in front of him and I think he can climb in that Ballon d’Or table,” Jurgen Klopp claimed.
