Mane has declared himself fit for the Super Cup

Sadio Mane says he’s fit to start for Liverpool in the UEFA Super Cup meeting with Chelsea tomorrow night after a very busy summer.

Sadio Mane helped Senegal reach the Africa Cup of Nations Final last month.

And although he couldn’t win it, he still had a busy summer and was a bit tired from it.

But today he declared himself fit to start for Liverpool against Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup.

“Yes, I think I’m ready [to start],” he said to the media according to the team’s official website.

“Tiredness, I think, is here [pointing to his head] – for sure.”

“I’ve been playing professional football a long time [and] I think I never even have holidays more than 20 days [for the last] seven years now,” he added.

Gary Cahill recalls the ‘horrible’ ending to his Chelsea career

Gary Cahill admitted his final season at Chelsea was a "horrible" experience, but now hopes to move on as he settles in at Crystal Palace.

“I’m used to it and, for sure, I’m ready. I’m here, so let’s do it.”

“Lucky ground probably and hopefully tomorrow it’s going to be the same,” he continued. “We work for it and we hope,” he commented.

“We’re going to do everything to win and keep [it] continuing to be a lucky ground for Liverpool.”
