Nicolas Tagliafico’s agent has revealed Real Madrid are planning a swoop for the Ajax left-back paving the way for Marcelo to join Juventus.

With the rise in form of Sergio Reguilon at Real Madrid, Marcelo has seen his game time reduced at the Santiago Bernabeu.

However, it’s been mooted the Brazilian who has caught the attention of Juve fancies a move to the Serie A giants as he wants to reunite with former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.

“It’s said that Tagliafico’s name has been included on Real Madrid’s shortlist because Marcelo will join Juventus,” Tagliafico’s representative Ricardo Schlieper and cited on Football Italia.

“However no-one’s called me yet, even if there have been enquiries from other teams. He has two years left on his contract and he has no release clause, but Ajax have set a minimum price for the top European clubs.

The agent further claimed Tagliafico is in the best shape to join a top European side.

“Which teams are they? All I can say is that among them, there’s a big Spanish club. That said, I think it’s the right time for Tagliafico to step up a level.”

Marcelo is expected to play a part in the El Clasico on Wednesday with all to play for after the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-finals ended 1-1 in Camp Nou.
