Real Madrid left-back Marcelo is set to miss the rest of Los Blancos’ La Liga campaign with an adductor injury.
Marcelo will not be available in the remainder of Real Madrid’s La Liga games. He would miss out due to injury.
The 32-year-old was a key figure in Los Blancos’ last outing. The Brazilian won the penalty which gave Zinedine Zidane’s side all three points in the 1-0 victory at Athletic Club on Sunday.
Sadly for Marcelo, he picked up an injury in that same game.
Real Madrid posted the details of the injury on their website in a statement on Friday evening.
“Following the tests carried out today on Marcelo by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to his left adductor muscle,”
Marcelo is not expected to be back in La Liga action this term but there is hope he can feature in Europe.
He is in line to feature again for the Champions League in early August. Although, that would depend on Real Madrid staging a come-back to advance over Manchester City.
