Claudio Marchisio spent 25 seasons at Juventus, establishing himself as the club legend while playing for more than a decade for the first team.
Juventus are looking to build upon their domestic success this season by going after the Champions League.
They gathered a group of great players, even overcrowding the midfield with quality.
However, one of the newcomers who impressed is the Welshman Aaron Ramsey.
Former Arsenal man is at his most comfortable when playing behind the striker with a license to join the attack at will.
Claudio Marchisio, on the other end, saw a lot of success and failure at Juventus, but one thing he always had was the fans’ support.
Even though Marchisio didn’t win the Champions League with Juve, the Italian is still the club’s biggest fan in pursuit of European glory.
Thus, he commented on Aaron Ramsey for Daily Mail. Ramsey is Marchisio’s successor with the number 8 shirt.
“My favorite number 8? He’s in good hands with Ramsey, a fantastic player. The number 8 is so good that before or he would have ended up on someone’s shoulders.
“My preferences were two: Ramsey or a Primavera player who played for the first team.”
Juve will need Ramsey as they also look to defend the Serie A title.
Inter is proving to be quite a danger, but with such squad depth, Sarri should be comfortable at the top of the league.
