Marco Silva rules out panic buys in January window

Everton manager Marco Silva insists that the club will not be forced to sign players in the January transfer window in response to their poor form in recent games.

Silva has seen his side slump to a bad run of form with just one win in their last eight Premier League matches but has ruled out making any panic buys this month.

“We cannot change every week our idea and philosophy as a club if you win two games or you don’t win two games,” Silva told Sky Sports ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup third-round tie against Lincoln at Goodison Park.

“I understand our recent form wasn’t good enough for us, but it is [just] a moment, and we are capable of changing things for us again.
