With Zinedine Zidane thinking about other players, Marcos Llorente could end up joining the club’s rivals, Atletico Madrid this summer.
Marcos Llorente faces an uncertain future at Real Madrid. The young midfielder was once heralded as one of the rising stars in Spanish football. Sadly, things haven’t gone his way since the appointment of Zinedine Zidane.
The Frenchman is looking for something else in the transfer market and it is clear that Marcos Llorente faces a rather uncertain future at the club.
While speaking to Marca, the player’s uncle admitted that his nephew has no issues signing for Atletico Madrid. The two Madrid giants share a bitter rivalry but it isn’t uncommon to see players swap teams.
Grosso, the youngster’s uncle, says that Marcos Llorente wants to play regular football. And if that doesn’t happen at Real Madrid, he could do that at Atletico Madrid.
“Marcos has made it clear that he wants to be playing regular, first team football,” Grosso said.
“He would love to carry on playing for Real Madrid because he is a fan and he would do anything to be successful here but it seems like his time may have come to an end.”
“He would like to know where he will be plying his trade next year before the new pre-season gets underway.”
“Money will not be the deciding factor in where he ends up, but rather the interest that the team shows in him and the promises they make him.”
Atletico Madrid are an excellent team and we know there is interest from them.
“Both his father and grandfather used to play for them so as a family we have lots of ties with them.
“Marcos would definitely be happy to go and play there.
“However, there are many other clubs that have shown great interest in capturing his signature and it seems that he does not fit into Zinedine Zidane’s plans so he will have to look for another club.”
