Marek Hamsik moved in February to Dalian Yifang in the Chinese Super League, but he says Napoli remains in his heart and he might return one day.

Slovakian defender Marek Hamsik has been playing professionally since 2002 when he came out of the Slovan Bratislava youth system to play for the senior squad.

In 2004 he moved to Brescia, and in 2007 to Napoli, where he was more successful.

But in February of this year, Hamsik decided to move to the Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang, but he still believes he will return to the Partenopei one day.

“It’s going well in China,” the 32-year-old said to Football Italia.

“The season ends soon. It’s already been a year and I’ve got used to things here.”

“Leaving Napoli was my decision. Of course, I’m sorry, but Napoli remains in my heart,” he added.

“Now I’ll go and see the lads against Atalanta,” he commented.

“This Napoli team can win the Scudetto and go far in the Champions League.”

He explained: “They can do anything.”

“I don’t know if I’d be useful for Napoli right now.”

“I won’t exclude coming back to give them a hand, but I will say that I’ve signed on for three years in China so I think I’ll stay there,” Hamsik concluded.
