Arsenal’s Pablo Mari insists that Liverpool’s front three of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Roberto Firmino are his toughest adversaries.
This familiarity came before he arrived in the Premier League. He played against them during the Club World Cup with his Brazilian parent club.
In an interview reported by Goal, when asked about the toughest players he has come up against as a defender, he had no hesitation in naming Jurgen Klopp’s players and he knew exactly what made them so hard to face.
“I think this moment was the three strikers of Liverpool! Salah, Mane and Firmino.”
“It’s because of speed, intelligence and their characters. I think these things are most important and make them top players.”
Given the partnership he has struck up in just a couple of games with David Luiz, it will be interesting to see if Arsenal can keep him beyond his current loan deal. Then how he will fare against his old foes next time they meet?
