OGC Nice manager Patrick Vieira revealed he’s given Mario Balotelli extended leave in order to make a decision on his future

After an impressive tally of 43 goals in 66 games across all competitions in his first two seasons at Nice, Balotelli hasn’t found the net once in 10 appearances this time around.

The Italian forward has been linked with a return to AC Milan at the end of the season once his contract at Nice expires.

Therefore, Vieira has granted Balotelli some extra time off to decide whether or not he has a future at the Allianz Riviera.

Report: Neymar could make his comeback for PSG this weekend

Neymar is reportedly in contention to make his long-awaited return for Paris Saint-Germain ahead of Sunday's potential Ligue 1 title decider.

“I have given Mario a few extra days off to think about his future and what he wants to do,” said Vieira, according to Sky Sports.

“He’s under contract here and everything is possible, if we can come to a common agreement who knows.”

The 28-year-old was close to joining another Ligue 1 team in Marseille last summer before a deal fell through.

Nice will be back in action on January 5 away to Toulouse in the Coupe de France.
