The Napoli footballer believes Carlo Ancelotti can take his team to new heights this Italian Serie A season

Portuguese left-back Mario Rui is happy after his team Napoli beat Lazio 2-1 in the start of the Italian Serie A.

The 27-years-old talked to Gianluca Di Marzio about what it means to have somebody like Carlo Ancelotti at the helm.

“It was very important to win against Lazio. We hope to do well even in this season and do better than last year,” he said.

“Ancelotti has been a great surprise for us; we have found a humble person that gives calmness.”

Asked about Cristiano Ronaldo and his impact for the Serie A, he believes it was the best signing of the summer.

“His arrival is really good for Italy, it increases following for Serie A. To face champions of this type is an honor,” he added.

“It will be a beautiful season because there are five teams that can fight for the Scudetto. In the Champions League, we will give our best as it is the competition most important for the club.”
