The Brazilian footballer shares club and nation’s locker room with the superstar, and he hopes to continue to do so.
Defender Marquinhos shares the locker room with Neymar at Paris Saint-Germain and the Brazil national team.
And he’s happy about it, hoping he can share more adventure with his compatriot in the next French Ligue 1 season.
“Neymar is a player of such caliber, who makes so much of a difference, that we, his teammates, friends, and fans, want him to stay at PSG,” Marquinhos told the official league website.
“He knows what he has to do, and so does our president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi.”
“Right now I’m completely focused on the national team,” Marquinhos concluded.
The 27-year-old forward has played for three different teams in his professional career.
He debuted for Santos in 2009 in his native country.
Then in 2013, he moved to Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona, where he was very successful, winning it all.
And it was in 2017 when he surprised everybody by choosing a move to Paris Saint-Germain in France.
