Massimiliano Allegri is happy with Serie A champions outing against Bologna.

Juventus opens up 2019 with an outstanding 2-0 win against Bologna to progress to the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia.

The coach adds that he was delighted in Moise Kean, who scored Juve’s second goal of the night, and Leonardo Spinazzola.

“I’m pleased with our performance tonight and the fact we’re through to the next round,” the coach began in the wake of the match at the Dall’Ara as reported by the official club website.
“We had several chances to make it 2-0 after scoring the first goal but didn’t take them. We got off to a good start in the second half, though. Considering it was our first game back after the break I think we played well.”

Leonardo Bonucci promises Juventus’ defeat is just a ‘hiccup’

Leonardo Bonucci dismissed concerns that Juventus' surprise 2-1 defeat to Genoa will have an impact on their season and believes that fatigue played a part in today's game.

“Moise is young and needs to improve but he played well. Spinazzola did too in his first game back after a long spell on the sidelines.

“I could see that [Federico] Bernardeschi was in good mental and physical shape. Douglas Costa also did well. They’ll be very important now with [Mario] Mandzukic out at the moment.”

Allegri also talked about Wednesday’s clash with AC Milan in Jeddah.

“It’s a one-off game but we’ve trained well and we’re in good shape. We’re ready for it.”
