Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund lock horns in the fifth round of UEFA Champions League’s group stage on Wednesday night.
Barcelona will be looking to book their place in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 when they host Borussia Dortmund tomorrow at 21:00 (CET).
The Catalans are heading into the fixture on the back of a 2-1 win at Leganes last time out thanks to second-half goals from Luis Suarez and Arturo Vidal.
They are currently sitting on top of Group F with eight points on their account, one more than their German opponents.
Gerard Pique will miss the game for the hosts due to accumulated bookings, along with full-backs Jordi Alba and Nelson Semedo – both of them out through injuries.
Borussia Dortmund dropped points yet again in top-flight German football over the past weekend, but fought back from a three-goal deficit to save a 3-3 draw against rock bottom Paderborn.
The Black and Yellows could also qualify for the knockout stage of the competition if they win the encounter with the Spanish champions tomorrow evening.
They will miss Thomas Delaney for their trip to Camp Nou, while former Barcelona forward Paco Alcacer is an injury doubt.
Keep an eye on
When Barcelona plays at home all eyes naturally fall on their number one star – Lionel Messi, who has scored nine goals across all competitions this season.
However, keep an eye on Borussia Dortmund’s Real Madrid loanee Achraf Hakimi.
The 21-year-old has netter four times in the 2019-20 Champions League campaign and will surely be looking to make an impact against his parent club’s fierce rivals.
