Bayer Leverkusen welcome Juventus in a game they have to win in order to have a chance for progress into the UCL knockout stages.

Bayer Leverkusen are still alive in the Champions League, but they have to defeat Juventus and wait for Lokomotiv Moscow to win points against Atletico Madrid if they want to qualify for the Round of 16.

Die Werkself have won five of their last six games across all competitions, including a 2-1 away win at German champions Bayern Munich.

Leverkusen have registered a 3-1 victory the only time they’ve hosted the Bianconeri, back in March 2002, and eventually went on to reach the Final, where they came up short against Real Madrid’s Galacticos.

Juventus travel to Germany with no pressure on their shoulders, as they have already won the first place in Group D.

The Bianconeri suffered their first defeat under Maurizio Sarri, losing 3-1 to Lazio last time out.

And while you can see the team news and our predicted line ups on the link here, we need to add that Dutch defender Matthijs De Ligt has also been ruled out of tonight’s game with a minor injury.

Keep an eye on

Last year’s sensation Leon Bailey has finally found his best form, noting two goals and an assist in Leverkusen’s wins over Bayern Munich and Schalke 04.

The Jamaica international is yet to score in the Champions League though and we believe this is the right time for him to deliver on the European stage.
