French Ligue 1 continues in midweek, as league leaders Paris Saint-Germain welcome Nantes in the 16th round of the season.
Reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain continue their pursuit of a third consecutive Ligue 1 title with a home game against FC Nantes on Wednesday evening.
The Parisians are heading into the fixture with a two-point lead ahead of Olympique Marseille at the top of the table and two games in hand, following the postponement of their clash with Monaco due to heavy rain back on Sunday.
Midfield duo – Marco Verratti and Ander Herrera might miss the game through injury problems, while Neymar Jr. is officially cleared to start for the champions.
Nantes’ trip to Paris comes on the back of a 2-1 victory over Toulouse over the past weekend
It was their first league win in almost two months, as The Canaries have collected only four points from their last six Ligue 1 outings.
They will travel to the French capital without Marcus Coco and former Manchester United full-back Fabio Da Silva, whose knee cap injury is set to keep him out for the rest of the campaign.
Keep an eye on
PSG attacking stars Neymar Jr., Mauro Icardi and Kylian Mbappe are set to start together for the first time in the 2019-20 campaign.
Also, keep an eye on the club’s best player of the opening three months of the season – Angel Di Maria who has registered nine goals and nine assists in 20 appearances across all competitions.
