The 2019-20 Serie A campaign starts this weekend, as Parma welcomes Juventus to Estadio Ennio Tardini in the opener.
Reigning champions Juventus will begin their title defense with a trip to Parma tomorrow at 18:00.
The Bianconeri will be looking to win their ninth consecutive Serie A title, an achievement that has never been seen in Italian football before.
Their new coach, Maurizio Sarri is chasing his first domestic championship as a manager, after winning the first trophy of his entire career when he lifted the Europa League with Chelsea last season.
Parma’s goal, on the other hand, is to survive in top-flight Italian football, as they are one of the relegation contenders before the start of the 2019-20 campaign.
Parma head coach Roberto D’Aversa does not have many injury concerns before the start of the new Serie A season.
Former Milan defender Juraj Kucka is his only concern, while Ivory Coast international Gervinho is expected to lead the Crociati’s attack in the opener.

Maurizio Sarri will miss his first game in charge of Juventus after the club confirmed that he is suffering from pneumonia.
Cristiano Ronaldo should be fit and ready to face Parma, while Dutch defender Matthijs de Ligt is expected to make his official debut for the club this weekend.
Talk to the press
Adrien Rabiot, who will also make his Serie A debut at Juventus, was full of praise of his new manager.
“The coach made an excellent impression on me,” explained the Frenchman. “He has a precise game philosophy and knows exactly how we must play, both in the offensive and defensive phases. We have already absorbed his concepts and we are working well with his staff.

“Turin is different from Paris. It’s smaller, but it’s a beautiful city. I am finding myself at ease and I managed to adapt well, which is very important for what I can then give on the field.
“I’m managing to create an excellent affinity with Cristiano Ronaldo, because he also plays on the left. Training with him allows me to improve myself a lot and his presence is very good for the group.”
Parma won a point against Juventus last season, noting a 3-3 draw at the Allianz Stadium thanks to Gervinho’s last-gasp equalizer back in February.
Juventus kept three clean sheets from their last six visits to the Ennio Tardini Stadium.
Parma’s last win against Juventus came in April 2015, it is their only victory over the Bianconeri in the last 10 meetings between both sides.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored 21 goals in 31 appearances in his debut season in top-flight Italian football. He will be looking to improve his record in the 2019-20 campaign.
Parma won only two of their last 12 home games in Serie A last season. They registered only 22 points at the Ennio Tardini Stadium in 2018-19.
