Real Madrid continue the pursuit of their 34th La Liga with a home game against Espanyol this weekend.
Los Blancos will host Espanyol at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, tomorrow at lunchtime, looking to move three points clear of Barcelona ahead of the Barca’s encounter with Mallorca, later in the evening.
Zinedine Zidane’s boys are undefeated in their last eight outings across all competitions, having registered six wins and two draws in the process.
Eden Hazard, who might be out until 2020 will miss the game for Real Madrid, along with Marcelo, Nacho, James Rodriguez, Marco Asensio and Lucas Vazquez.
Espanyol’s trip to the capital comes in a very bad moment, as they’ve won only one of their last seven games across all competitions and failed to register a win in the last five La Liga rounds.
Most probably, it is going to be six in a row for the Budgerigars, unless they manage to beat Real Madrid at the Bernabeu Stadium for the first time in the 21st century.
They sit in 19th place on the table, having collected only nine points in the 2019-20 campaign so far.
Keep an eye on
All eyes, of course, will be on La Liga’s top goalscorer and still the only player in the championship who has netted a double-digit amount of goals – Karim Benzema.
The French forward has found the net 14 times across all competitions this season, while 10 of those goals came in top-flight Spanish football.
