The Czech recently joined Burnley in the English Premier League after winning the Championship Golden Boot with 21 league goals
Matej Vydra joined Burnley in the English Premier League a few weeks ago.
And the Czech Republic national is already aiming high in the EPL.
The 26-years-old forward believes he can score at least ten goals this season in the Premiership.
“Now it’s up to me but also up to gaffer for him to give me the chance.”
“For Czech boys from a small city everyone is dreaming of the Premier League because it’s the best league in the world, with the best players,” he added.
“It’s a big difference between the Championship and the Premier League. I hope I’m ready for that. I’m a more experienced player now.”
“I think everybody watched the Premier League when I was growing up. Everyone had dreams of playing in the Premier League. It was the same for me,” he continued.
“I watched Didier Drogba when he played for Chelsea. He’s not the same striker as I am but I loved the way he scored goals, how strong he was when he challenged with defenders.”
“If I score 10 goals in the Premier League it would be nice for me. Fingers crossed I can do it,” Vydra concluded.
