Nemanja Matic says he is happy to continue at Manchester United after regaining the faith of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Nemanja Matic old was linked with a move away from Old Trafford in the recent past after struggling to get consistent playing time.
But Paul Pogba’s and Scott McTominay’s injuries provided a major boost for the 31-year old as he was once again thrown into the team by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Since the turn of the year, the Serbian has played 10 times for Manchester United.
Nemanja Matic is out of contract at the end of the season. And with no ongoing renewal talks, he could leave Man United for free in the summer. But recently, he insisted that he is enjoying every minute of his time after finding his place back in the starting XI.
“That’s football! I’m now fit, happy and playing. Everything is okay at the moment,” he said as per the Express.
“I knew that in football things can turn.
“Of course, it’s much easier when you play all the time. When you are in good form, it is easier, you have more confidence, you are used to playing games every week or every three or four days. But when you don’t always play, maybe once in a month, it’s much harder.”
