Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has opened up on his ambition to return to work after being jobless for nine months.
Pochettino is out of work after parting ways with Tottenham in November 2019.
But, the renowned Argentinean tactician is eager to return to action, with Juventus and several other Europe’s teams looking to offer him a contract.
Pochettino has made the managerial name for himself at Southampton, but he rose to prominence in London, helping Tottenham become a regular top-four fixture in the Premier League.
There’s no shortage of suitors for the 48-year-old’s services, and the famous manager himself is keen to return to practice.
“The Premier League has commercial advantages, but the Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1 and Bundesliga are also powerful,” he said, as reported by the Football Italia.
“I suit the Premier League, but am open to a new challenge, and working towards new horizons could improve me as a coach.
“People act as if coaches want a project, but the truth is we just want to find a club and President whose ideas can gradually take us towards success.
“When that offer arrives, then I will say yes.”
Maurizio Sarri’s future in Turin hangs in the balance even though Juventus won the Serie A crown for the ninth year running.
The Italian’s faith now depends on the outcome of Juve’s home clash against Lyon for the return leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.
The ‘Bianconeri’ have to overcome a 1-0 deficit from the first leg to progress to the quarter-finals.
