Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that he would love to return to Spain for new adventures.
Tottenham have suffered a huge dip in form from last season. Spurs have won just a fourth of their total games and are currently 14th in the Premier League. As a result, Mauricio Pochettino’s job has come under serious review.
Recently, The Telegraph reported that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy held talks with the manager.
“Unless things improve dramatically then it is impossible to see Pochettino staying at Tottenham for the entire season. Losing at West Ham would be a disaster for them.
“Levy would prefer not to sack him, not only because of the money but also because of what he has achieved at Tottenham. But Pochettino has made it look like that is what he might prefer,” the article stated.
Nevertheless, Mauricio Pochettino seems to have a backup plan. In an interview with Diario La Grada, the Argentine talked about the prospect of returning to Spain. He mentioned that he loved La Liga and that his return was possible in the near future.
“Yes. Look, although you never know.
“We are Latinos. I like this city, La Liga and I love this club. I am enjoying England very much, and I don’t know when or where, but I would love to return to Spain.”
Tottenham under Daniel Levy:

💼 12 managers
💰 £5.4m average net spend per window
🏆 1 league cup
