Former Spurs boss Pochettino is still hopeful of being appointed Manchester United manager in the summer.

Mauricio Pochettino still has his eyes sight on the United head coach role, according to a report from the Mirror.

Things went downhill fast for the former Spurs boss prior to his sacking at the club.

After a season where he guided them to the Champions League final, he saw a series of in-explainable results that were branded “humiliating”.

From losing 7-2 to Bayern in the Champions League to being dumped out by Colchester in the League Cup, Pochettino saw his lifelines cut short at the club…with that man Jose Mourinho taking over.

The Telegraph reported earlier that Atletico Madrid see Pochettino as the ideal Simeone replacement. Actually many clubs do.

And now the Mirror have claimed the Argentine personally wants the United job.

As per the report, the 47-year-old would stand a good chance of getting his wish if United’s season ends on a bad note.
