Maurizio Sarri: Milan match won’t be easy

Maurizio Sarri admits that the match against AC Milan will not be an easy tie for Juve

Milan will travel to the Allianz Stadium on Monday to face Juventus. Much like Liverpool vs City, the match between Milan and Juve is among Italy’s most awaited matches.

Juventus, who still haven’t tasted defeat, are the league leaders with 29 points. While Milan have seen an exponential decline in their form, they still remain one of the toughest nuts to crack. Maurizio Sarri has expressed his thoughts on the match on the club website.

In football there are cycles; rebuilding to get back to a very high level is not easy. Milan have many young players and they are laying the foundations for an important future.

“We have areas of growth – individually, collectively and tactically. We are still not able to close out our games. However, this also highlights our strength in character which leads us to seek the victory until the end.

The Juventus boss then commented on the role of some of his players.

“Aaron Ramsey can set up many scoring opportunities to score. He has the ability to play as an attacking player in a solid midfield.

“We are asking a lot of Bonucci because the team needs him for experience and quality. In this first phase of the season he has been crucial. I hope that sooner or later I will be able to rest him.

“Higuain has strong motivation to do his best. Now, he is well. Both physically and mentally. He is giving us so much from a game development perspective.
