The Argentine attacker seems to be an inspired signing for Paris Saint Germain after arriving in the French capital on the transfer deadline day.

The Ballon d’Or list was announced and Lionel Messi will claim his sixth trophy. However, in the 30 man short list you will find a name missing and it is not strange to see his absence.

Anyone and everyone in the football power circles was informed about Mauro Icardi’s future at the San Siro. Antonio Conte was taking charge and he does not like players who dissent. Much less cause a raucous and say they are not playing.

Inter Milan had to bear Icardi’s shenanigans last season as Luciano Spalletti needed him to carry their weight. But this Nerrazzuri team will be built in the image of Conte. And there was no need for a player who will disrupt the dressing room.

The Rosario native was going away but who would be willing to take him on. If you were to look at his stats, all European big wigs should be lining up at his door. Wife Wanda Nara should not have any trouble finding suitors.

But the irksome Nara had trouble. The summer is for rebuilding a squad, not breaking your own house. No one wants a disruption in the summer, they leave that for the January transfer window.

In the end and after much toiling, Nara ensured her husband finds employment in Paris. Thomas Tuchel already had Neymar and had braved storms with him, surely Icardi will not be a problem.

Loving the Parisian way of life

And as it stands, Tuchel and Co. have pulled off the gambit. At the Parc des Princes, Icardi has found a new home and is enjoying his surroundings. The striker is scoring goals and contributing to the Parisian cause as Tuchel would like.

Icardi has troubled the scorers 10 times in 12 outings, two of them coming from the bench. And he has managed a strike rate of a goal every 79 minutes.

Moreover, he has taken the duties of a forward seriously. He is not the selfish goal scoring phenomenon he was at Sampdoria and Inter Milan. In PSG, Icardi is more involved and does not disrupt the flow of the game. He is not dispossessed easily and only recorded 1.1 bad controls per game.

What is more impressive is that the attacker has not taken any time to adapt to his new surroundings. His goals have come without even having a proper pre-season training.

And for whatever price Mauro Icardi makes his loan deal permanent, it will be nothing given his real value. And PSG will realize they have secured a gem for pennies on the dollar.
