Kylian Mbappe was not satisfied with his four-goal display in Paris Saint-Germain’s 5-0 thrashing of Lyon on Sunday evening

The 19-year-old forward broke the Ligue 1 record books by becoming the fastest player to net a quadruple for 45 years in the space of just 13 minutes.

Mbappe also became the youngest player to ever score four goals in a Ligue 1 game inside 13 minutes.

Meanwhile, PSG eclipsed an 82-year-old record set by Lille by winning all nine of their opening games of the 2018/19 Ligue 1 campaign.

“There have been a lot of things in this game that will make us remember it,” Mbappe told CanalPlus. “I should have scored more goals, it’s part of the steps I have to go to get to the top.

“But at no time (have) I doubted. As long as an attacker creates opportunities, everything is fine.”

Mbappe also won a ninth-minute penalty for PSG with Neymar slotting it home to open the scoring at the Parc Des Princes.

“The most important thing is the work of a whole team and the record of the day,” Mbappe said.

“I will insist on the collective. We wanted to win and make history in this championship. We wanted this record.

Koeman: “Depay doesn’t have to prove anything to me”

Netherlands manager Ronald Koeman has assured Memphis Depay that he remains an important part of his plans, despite the forward's struggles at Lyon this season.

“We have a new coach, a new philosophy, and we show that we can adapt.

“When we make the effort for each other, it makes the difference.”

PSG coach Thomas Tuchel claimed that Mbappe could have scored seven goals on Sunday.

The France international has managed 10 goals and four assists in just seven games across all competitions this season.

PSG will next face Amiens SC at the Parc Des Princes on October 20 in the Ligue 1.
