Just hours away from the final match of the Ligue 1 season, Kylian Mbappe needs a real miracle if he wants to reach Messi’s 36 goals.
Many of you might have thought that Lionel Messi was already this season’s Golden Shoe but Kylian Mbappe has one last chance to change that.
The French youngster has already won the Ligue 1’s top scorer and the MVP Awards, but he is willing to try anything he can in order to get another prize later today.
Paris Saint-Germain plays its last league match of the season at Reims, this will be Mbappe’s last opportunity to reach Leo Messi’s 36 goals of the season.
The Argentine player doesn’t have any more games to play as the Spanish La Liga ended last weekend.
This leaves Kylian with a unique opportunity to score enough goals in order to at least reach Leo at the top.
The problem here is that Mbappe has scored 32 goals according to WhoScored, which means that he would need 4 to reach Messi or 5 to surpass him.
We love Kylian but this simply seems like a nearly impossible task.
The French player would need full support from all his teammates and he won’t even have Neymar to help him get this number.
The Brazilian player just left France in order to begin his training with the Brazilian National Team for Copa America, this leaves Mbappe completely alone up front.

Mbappe could be above Messi already.
The French forward has been truly amazing this season in all regards, he is only 20 years old.
There is a strong argument about him possibly having a chance to be above Lionel Messi’s 36 goals already, this has an interesting meaning behind it.
The youngster was suspended twice during the Ligue 1 season, he didn’t play in a total of 6 league matches because of this.
It’s pretty safe to assume that he would’ve scored those four goals he is short during those games.
We even dare say that Mbappe could’ve easily reached 40 goals this season in the competition, but his youth played a nasty trick on him.
Scoring four or five goals does seem like a long stretch even for Kylian, but he is one of those players who can actually make this happen.
We will all be eager to watch PSG playing at Reims today, hopefully we can get a new Golden Shoe recipient by the end of this Friday.
We are already hoping for a magical night from this very special player, he has everything in his power to make things happen but he will also need all the help he can get from his teammates.

Tuchel will try to help Mbappe.
Given how complicated the latest weeks have been between Kylian Mbappe and PSG, this could be a perfect opportunity for the club to set everything straight.
The youngster recently sent the club a message about demanding a more starring role within the squad.
Lining up behind him to support his attempt to score five goals in a single match would be an ideal first step.
Paris Saint-Germain’s manager spoke about the possibility of helping Kylian Mbappe scoring those goals.
“I still have to think about that because I didn’t know about it, but scoring four goals is difficult,” said Tuchel via Diario Sport.
“Saying we want Kylian to score four goals would be disrespectful to our opponents.”
“Doing it would be truly spectacular but we can’t simply say that we are trying to get Mbappe to score four goals in a single match.”
“Scoring those goals is his objective, but it’s not too realistic. Fighting to score four goals might be too much for him.”
“If it was one or two goals, we could possibly help him. However, we will speak with all the players in the squad about this.”
“I am certain that Kylian understands this and he is more than ready to try.”
