The Paris Saint-Germain footballer remembers when he scored four goals against Lyon last season in France.
Kylian Mbappe had a fantastic 2018-2019 French Ligue 1 season.
And he remembers fondly every moment, but he highlighted those that made him happier.
“It was a very difficult game against the second-best team in Ligue 1. We knew it was going to be tough,” he said about scoring four goals against Lyon, according to the team’s official website.
“We were leading early 1-0… and then there were the two red cards that created a bit of tension… but it was a positive tension because both teams responded well. I had some chances, like in every match.”
He explained: “I’m lucky to create so many chances. Not every player can create so many chances in a game, so I’m very lucky to have so many, thanks to my teammates.”
“If I have three chances, it means I can create a fourth, and maybe that one will end up in the back of the net.”
“And when I score, I want to score a second, a third, a fourth… I always want more,” he said.
“I knew the team needed me. I had to look after myself, be ready and prepared for every game because we couldn’t afford another injury.”
“I wanted to play every game, to score and to help the team win every time,” he commented.
“I was in form, I felt good and I managed to score a lot, so I was very happy to be able to help the team. That is always the most important thing.”
