The Aston Villa player says he’s a firm admirer of the team’s captain as they are playing for the promotion to the Premier League.

Aston Villa is set to play against Derby County in the English Championship Playoffs Final.

The winner will get one ticket to the 2019-2020 Premier League season, while the loser will stay one more year in the second level of English football.

And for Villa player John McGinn, his captain Jack Grealish is to admire, as “he’s thrived on being made skipper.”

“He’s been a brilliant leader for us and a very good team-mate too.”

“Everyone just sees the haircut and things like that,” he told the club’s official website.

“They don’t see how motivated he is to bring success to this football club.”

“He is working ever so hard to become the best player he can be,” he added.

“For me to be playing alongside him in midfield, I’m lucky – and the club is lucky to have him.”

He explained: “Since James Chester picked up a few injuries, he’s become captain.”

“He’s used that extra pressure to kick his game to the next level. He’s thrived on it.”

“He’s a good lad. He’s good to play with. Everyone knows about his quality,” he commented.

“At one stage in his career, he will definitely be an England player. I think he could comfortably do it at the minute.”
