Scott McTominay says he is closing in on returning to the pitch after doing well in the recovery following his injury.
Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has been out of action ever since suffering a knee injury during the 4-1 victory over Newcastle United back in December.
Mctominay, along with Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford, has been dearly missed by Man Utd as they struggle to climb up the Premier League rankings in their quest to get a Champions League spot.
The Red Devils are up against fourth-placed Chelsea and have a good chance to close the point gap. And Scott McTominay has hinted that he might be able to help his side against Frank Lampard’s men.
The 23-year old has informed that he has been doing well in his recovery and is almost ready to return to the Man United line-up.
“Yeah it has been going well,” he told Man United’s official website.
“It is difficult, you know, but you have to find your way through it mentally more than physically sometimes.
“It is challenging, obviously, from my first proper injury. I want to be taking some part in the sessions towards the end of the week. We will just see where we go from there. So, we are just going to do whatever we can to make sure I am back on the pitch as soon as possible.”
