Arsenal are reportedly keen on signing Boca Juniors winger Cristian Pavon and are keen to begin negotiations with the club over the player’s sale
The Argentina international is understood to have been on the Gunners’ radar for some time, thanks to outgoing chief executive Ivan Gazidis.
The South African may be leaving the club at the end of next month to join AC Milan, but Arsenal are still interested in signing Pavon.
The 22-year-old impressed the North London club during the World Cup this summer for Argentina and they have now allegedly approached Boca Juniors.
TEAMtalk claims that the Argentinian club’s president Daniel Angelici values Pavon at €50m.
But Arsenal are willing to match that asking price.
Unai Emery’s side are currently in seventh place in the Premier League table on nine points after five games.
Pavon has managed 25 goals and 29 assists in 88 games in all competitions for Boca Juniors and is contracted at the club until June 2022.
