Media: Tottenham eye a move for Hector Herrera

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing midfielder Hector Herrera from FC Porto in January

Much to the frustration of the club supporters, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino opted to not bring in any new faces in the summer transfer window.

But now Sports Mole claims that Pochettino wants to bolster his midfield options and has targetted a move for Herrera in the January transfer window.

Pochettino: ‘Happy’ Christian Eriksen ready for Spurs action

Mauricio Pochettino insists Christian Eriksen is "happy" and in the right frame of mind for Tottenham despite his failed summer exit.

The 28-year-old impressed for Mexico at this summer’s World Cup in Russia and has also attracted the interest of Serie A giants AS Roma.

Herrera will likely be a replacement for Mousa Dembele, who continues to be linked with a move away from Spurs.

After arriving from Liga MX side Pachuca in 2013, Herrera has since made 197 appearances in all competitions for Porto.
