The Catalan admitted that he used to be more greedy in his youth years at Camp Nou.

Barcelona and Argentina star Lionel Messi believes he has become a player that is more focused on the good of the team compared to his version from earlier years.

The 5-time Ballon d’Or winner has been outstanding throughout the 2017-18 campaign, netting 34 goals in all competitions and confidently heading towards the 40-goal mark.

In an interview with La Cornisa, the 30-year-old shared that he has given more attention to the team-aspect of his gameplay than he used to in the past.

Ince says Van Dijk deserves to win the Ballon d’Or

Former Manchester United and Liverpool man Paul Ince thinks Virgil van Dijk deserves to win the prestigious Ballon d'Or. A three-way battle for global honours...

“Before, I tried to steal the ball and make my play,” he said.

“Now, I try to make the team play more, pass the ball more and not be so defining or selfish.

“I try to move the team from another position. I run the same as I always did, but in a different way.”
