German football expert and Journalist Raphael Honigstein says new Chelsea signing Christian Pulisic is Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo rolled into one from a marketing perspective.

Honigstein believes the new Chelsea man is revered in America for his talent and as such could pose a huge marketing impact to his new club.

Honigstein told the Totally Football Show via Daily Star:

Lukaku opens up on choosing Man United over Chelsea

Romelu Lukaku has opened up on the story behind his decision to sign for Manchester United instead of rejoining Chelsea in 2017.

“He does open a door to the US, he’s got a huge following there, it will only grow.

“He is really Messi and Ronaldo rolled into one as far as the American market is concerned. He’s an absolute superstar.

“Now he’ll have more visibility at Chelsea and I think that will be, once again, beneficial for both him and the club who have new ideas to build and extra following, to generate more income and there were some suggestions that [Roman] Abramovich might be looking for some outside investment from America at some stage.”
