Barcelona left-back Jordi Alba believes playing alongside Lionel Messi has improved his game considering their telepathic partnership on the pitch.
Alba has become a regular in the Spanish national team as well as Barca since joining the club from Valencia in 2012.
The evidence of his improvement can be seen on the pitch where he has played a pivotal role in Barcelona’s chase for the treble with the La Liga title already in the bag.
The Spanish left-back equally assisted Suarez in Barca’s opener against Liverpool at the Nou Camp. Ahead of the second leg at Anfield, Alba revealed the influence of Messi on his game.
“To me, Leo hasn’t changed [as a person],” Alba told France Football and cited on Marca.
“Our relationship has always been the same – it’s very good.
“We’ve been playing together for seven years and he’s made me a better footballer.
“As for football, he’s even better than before, which seemed impossible because he was the best in the world!”

The match today was a bit like the 3-0 against Bayern in 2015 but we really have to be careful because it is still necessary to reach the final.” pic.twitter.com/6TcJon1EFj
