Arsenal have announced that Mesut Ozil will face a late fitness test ahead of today’s Premier League match against Fulham
Ozil was forced to withdraw from the Arsenal squad that lost 5-1 to Liverpool at Anfield last Saturday with a left knee problem.
Manager Unai Emery remained on coy on Ozil’s availability following their humiliating defeat with the German having struggled to hold a regular starting spot in recent weeks.
Now Arsenal.com report that Ozil will be assessed before today’s game against Fulham along with Shkodran Mustafi (hamstring), Nacho Monreal (hamstring) and Hector Bellerin (left calf).
Dinos Mavropanos, Emile Smith Rowe, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Rob Holding and Danny Welbeck all remain sidelined for the Gunners.
Arsenal, who are now five points adrift of fourth-place Chelsea in the Premier League, will begin today’s game at the Emirates Stadium at 16:00 (CET).
